Damian Patrick George Hinds (born 27 November 1969) is a British Conservative Party politician and the Member of Parliament (MP) for the East Hampshire constituency. He is Parliamentary Private Secretary to Mark Francois, the Minister for Defence Personnel, Welfare and Veterans.
Hinds was educated at St. Ambrose College, a Voluntary Aided Roman Catholic Grammar school in Altrincham in Cheshire, followed by the University of Oxford, where he attained a first class degree, and was president of the Oxford Union Society while there.
He stood in the Stretford and Urmston constituency during the United Kingdom general election, 2005, coming second to incumbent MP Beverley Hughes, gaining 30.4% of the vote (an increase for the party of 3.3%).
